Ray, Try me.

Most Democrats are single-issue voters. When they are asked which party best represents their values, they think of the one issue that makes them vote Democrat. Union, race, abortion, even their hatred of Bush are popular issues among Dems.

In contrast, the GOP is pretty monolithic in its views and agenda. Unlike the "try and please everyone" Dems, Republicans offer the total package and say, "Take it or leave it." Lots of people who vote Republican don't agree 100% with Republican views or agendas, but they agree enough (or disagree enough with Dems).

Actually I have way more than a theory. I have a grasp of how the Republicans have systematically set about to steal elections. I've got a thread on this topic here
