3rd party anyone? I am thinking we are in similar position as when TR bolted and ran for president as a progressive. I dont think Rudy has a chance in hell to get the republican nod. He reminds me of TR. What do you think? YOu dont have to win to influence the debate. Whoever does win a three way in 2008, if that comes to pass, would have to take RG into account when making policy because RG voters would be the swing voters for elections that would follow. That would be the case whether the dem or the rep won in such a scenario.
Powell & McCain are other possibilities but I dont think Powell wants to do the heavy lifting and McCain never shows the will to leave the Republican tent. Rudy otoh is another story. Which dem might be his VEEP? How about a xgeneral like Scwartzkopf? If UW hates him, it would be enough for me. (g) MIke
