I did some biz with a former wine importer who moved to the country a while back. He asked if I like White Burgundy, and of course I said yes, but that the price had gotten away from me about 20 years ago. He suggested buying ANY 2002 vintage, at any price and he thought I'd be surprised. He then gave me an under $10 Louis Jadot "Chardonnay" which absolutely blew me away...it was like the late 70's and early 80's all over again. I haven't tried one that I didn't think was superior, the pricier, the better, still. But, the cheapos are worth trying if you've not done so.
