Hi Moominoid - Just a note that Kondratieff cycles ae based at least partly on generations - which means human life span.

With human lifespan having seriously increased in many countires, these waves should be different. Large scale immigration of younger people might also distort the cycle.

With the post war baby boom increasing generational effects with sheer numbers, the K-cycle theories gained credibility.

The shorter term cycles have been much more reliable, but there is some spread in the frequency.
