Jobs throws tantrum:

Interesting. He's still a prima donna. Now I can see Apple pulling the title about Jobs himself.

Really, what was your first clue? Jobs has always been a prima donna, nothing I've ever read about him has changed that opinion. Nearly every story I've ever read about the way he talks to his subordinates (I think that's everyone else on the planet), be it music executives or people applying for a job in the Human Resources department, leads me to that conclusion.

But pulling all the books is just a childish reaction that hurts customers and stockholders alike.

I agree it's a childish move, but I believe that's a bit overstated. It probably hurts customers a little in that no Wiley books are available at Apple stores for purchase, but how does it hurt stockholders? Because of the income Apple derives from the sale of these books? Miniscule. Because of the bad impression it leaves of Apple as a company? No one cares as long as the profits keep rolling in. Having a jerk as a CEO does not bother the stockholders, lack of positive earnings and stock price appreciation does.
