A few comments on some potential stocks to invest in or be cautious about:

1) ASND - Don and Ike, the technicals may look good but I would be very cautious this quarter. If they don't meet revenue and earnings the stock can break through $36 (remember the early warning that took the stock down from $55). Long term it has great prospects but thats still end of this year / next year. Speculative & risky at the momment. May be a class 1 buy but fundamentals might be weakening.

2) MRVC - technicals may indicate its overbought but long term with their relationship with Intel and their fast ethernet & gigabyte ethernet products now in market, revenues and profits will pick up. They also make cable products. Stock will move up in anticipation. Should have a good move from here through January, a secondary stock offering week after next with increased brokerage coverage. Stock was hyped a year ago in a news letter but sales and earnings keep growing. At this point its a better buy than Bay (It has higher earnings forecasts for qtr and year but is $5 less per share).

3) ARSW - great data base mining software product. The main product is incorporated into Peoplesofts new software. With Peoplesoft accelerating their product release date by 3 months to September this will benefit company. (I'm two days late on this one its been taking off).

4) LGND - Speculative but after Henry's post to the thread last week and researching the company has great short term and long term prospects. The next two months should be interesting. [I'm biased this is my 1st option play and I'm in the money].

5) AMTX - Speculative but I've convinced myself that they will win contracts and be profitable. With the Canadian action I'd expect GTE to give them 50+ % of any deployment contract. I'm biased and long on this one also, stock not options]

6) APM - CEO who talks to investors. Sold off this week on the Hutch news. Looks like a good time to add to position. Stock was hit twice this year, once on failed acquisition of its main competitor and second when DD sector was hit on Segate earnings warnings. Company is doing well and stock should follow. Not sure if it will hit $60 this year but you have to like its earnings multiple.

7) CTXS - Need to be careful. Winframe 1.7 to be released next week and stock should move well into earnings but it is getting awful high based upon next years earnings. From last quarters actions definitely not a stock to hold into earnings.

8) LSI - Didn't have enough time to research so I missed investing today. Maybe on monday.

9) WDC - All indications are business is strong. CPQ and DELL are going like gangbusters and that has to help the drive makers.

10) ERTS - Al, another great call. Can you let me know the day b/4 it starts to move <ggg>. I heard they're trying to sign Tiger for their golf game (MSFT is also trying so if they miss to one of the other game competitors the stock will take a hit).

11) BROD - Al or Ike - any target prices on this. My one worry is that Riven will be a hit but the boxes won't be able to take advantage of it. Maybe why CREAF and S3 are also doing well?

I've commented enough on stocks. Haven't had much time this week on the net but will be back on tomorrow.

Good investing.

Tim
