Rainy, it's true. You can see it on this site. "The rich don't pay their fair share of taxes!" "The rich buy Congress and get pet loopholes in the tax code!" "I pay too much! Tax Bill Gates instead!"

You can call it defeatist. I call it realistic. As I said, if a majority really wanted a flat tax, you'd have it. Istead what you see are graduated federal income taxes and graduated income taxes in most states.
