Limtex,

This camera might be what you were talking about in one of your posts last year, in which you said that still cameras would eventually disappear (I hope I have that right).
Anyway, I don't think you were too far off the mark. In my opinion I believe that dual-function (still and movie) cameras are going to become quite popular in the near future.
Ansel Adams said something to the effect that the line between still photography and action photography would blur sometime in the future. Maybe this is the beginning of that time.

I intend to purchase one of these cameras as soon as they become available in June, unless someone can point out something I am overlooking. Comments and opinions welcome!
The camera records video on a 512 Mbyte SD card for about 4 minutes at 30 fps at VGA resolution.
Suggested price: $499.00

Because great shots can happen any time,
take still images up to 5.0 Megapixels while shooting movies with the new, exclusive "MovieSnap" feature

Now there's no need to interrupt your movie when you see a great shot. With the S2 IS's new MovieSnap feature, you can simply press the shutter to capture a full 5.0 Megapixel still image at any time while recording a movie.
