Well, the only thing that means anything is whether you like what you taste. So, tread lightly, and just go get the Louis Jadot "Chardonnay" (as much as the varietal listing on the label irks you) and try it. You might not like it, but it's only $10 or so. Get one on your next trip north when you are living free and dying....they've got it over there.
