Thanks very much for the detailed explanation of that Everest climb, Alan. I have heard of the book "Into Thin Air" before, and had resolved to read it, but with so many books stacked in front of it, that possibility seems remote at the moment. It would be nice if they made a movie of it. Now that you've turned me on to Neftlix, I am having a lot of fun with that. Wasn't there a climbing incident in which the mother of a young child also died? I thought that was particularly sad. As much as children need both parents, young children in particular need their mothers close by.
