Mulan, how can you deny the truth of the greatest famine in human history, the so-called "three bitter years" (1959-1961) in which 20-40 million people died? Even a well-known Western Maoist sympathizer like WEB DuBois, who visited China during the Great Leap, could not excuse what he saw.

Even in the CCP there was dissent over the Great Leap disaster, so Mao launched the Cultural Revolution to purge his enemies such as Wu Han and Peng Zhen. In order to wipe them out, there were massive purges with millions more dying (many of them covered up as suicides or accidents) after being mercilessly tortured.

And to this day it is dangerous in the PRC to express criticism of Mao. So I understand your position, and I wish you well.
