That is so true... most of the Sun workstations where I work (a laboratory) have been replaced by Windows or Linux computers. The Suns are the slugs and used special memory modules that cost a fortune for their 2% performance boost, and Sun software was the bottom of the barrel. I was so happy to ditch my Solaris OS computer for my scrappy Linux box.
