Costello, like every politician around the planet, wants the Monetarist system to create more free money through excess credit creation. No big surprise. "Free money" has always been a popular welfare program. It has made the term "Monetarist" as well known as Hostess "Twinkies". Monetarists falsely believe that increasing the amount of money and/or credit increases their nation's wealth. So far the Australian Reserve Bank has studiously avoided feeding the honking geese looking for a free hand-out. .
