cig were behind the counter in 50's when i worked in a drug store. why,,, kids stole them, adults stole them. fast food places like gas stations , 711, etc all had cigs behind the counter long before regulation. It was the highest profit item in store. they make more selling cigs than gasoline at some of these gas stations. In these stations audits showed cigs having very large losses, so they went behind the cashier.

the same will apply to these cough medications if the druggies need the stuff in them to make pills /powder etc. It will fly off the shelves via people pockets, bags etc.

But then you like to stick to your convictions. Hard to see the other side of an issue .. Ah?
