Potential competition CGNX has been recommended to me before. However, as I researched their market and potential competiton, the sidelines seemed the place for me. Allen Bradley (subsid. of Rockwell) have been in the machine vision/control market for years and have dominated it. Their technology is superior and the interfaces are the best. So for a CGNX systme to crack this market, they need distribution (which they don't have). As a former user of products like this, CGNX is not offering anything radically new or cheaper, just different.
