What risk? They're getting a chunk of the $8 billion of taxpayer money to finance exploration.

What risk? They have a guaranteed market given that the government does things like offer tax incentives for gas guzzling Hummers while virtually ignoring hybrids.

What risk? The US Taxpayer is footing a to-date bill of $300 BILLION to fund their latest acquisition: IRAQ. Shrub is now contemplating yet another acquisition on behalf of big oil: IRAN.

What risk? This isn't capitalism. This is corruption funded by the overworked middle class taxpayer. In the meantime, that overworked middle class taxpayer just took on MORE RISK through the bankruptcy bill. Shrub wants to add even MORE RISK to that taxpayer by killing Medicare/Medicaid and SS.

This is American Fascism where all the risks go to the individual and all the rewards go to the corporation and the ultrawealthy who own and run them.
