Stalin put it quite well. He differentiated between theoretical communism and practical communism pretty much stating that people automatically rebel without a police state to enforce communism. In other words, people rebel because theoretical communism is no utopia and not how man naturally lives. There will never ever be theoretical communism, only despotism. Communism was tried, it failed miserable and there are 100 million graves that prove just how miserable it is.
