The Ethics committee got the largest budget increase of any house committee by far. Dems cannot complain about funding. Of course while they refused to meet, it was hard to spend much. They should have plenty saved up to investigate how Pelosi funnels federal funding to a NGO in exchange for big contributions to her. They can investigate the discrepancy between Pelosi and Tubb-Jones' filings. They can finally kick Jim McDeromott out of the House for his federal conviction. They can do much.

Democrats were complaining that the term limits rule applied to the one Republican who had an axe to grind with Tom DeLay. I did not look for the article, but that is probably the fact you are talking about.
