I just happened to be browsing the coffee shop and came across this thread.I'm very interested in genealogy and have been for the last couple years .Just came back from a trip to Savannah Ga.to locate long ago ancestors (1820-1910).Trip to cemetery gave me a link that now gets me back to about 1650 in New Haven Conn. with that family name.I subscribe to ancestry.com to get census records and some newspaper clips but it is expensive.I do have a brick wall for my family name as many of the old names given me before my dad passed away are really middle names, and boy is this frustrating. Also for the others on this thread, when looking at the census records don't take the ages of the parents as the absolute truth.Just my 2 cents.Hope to see much much more on this thread.
