I bought some land in the acreage back in 1985 based on the "county is built out" theory, finally sold it to a dude who breeds pit bulls a couple of years ago, he farms palm trees on it. Plenty of land to the west, the problem is lack of infrastructure. Pinellas county has been built out for a decade and has 10x the density but the market hasn't been near as hot.
