to all - new spin on apple/power.

a broker at smith barney sent along their analysts spin on the apple/power deal. he basically said that powers aim from the beginning was to "convert highly-specialized mac users over the to wintel platform" and that apple management was "well aware of the contradictory goals over the past several months."

so, basically, power was in it to build a wintel business, and their interests lied elsewhere from the mac. hmmm, thats one i hadnt heard before...

im a longtime mac user (128k ->) and shareholder, and just think the past several months have been fascinating. based on some buying down, im in at about my basis, so feel comfortable waiting out the game. hey, whats msoft done of interest lately? windows 98? right...
regards,
kris
