KLP,MANY---I just wish i had started on my quest 40-50 years ago when some of the people still had good memories.I never knew any of my grandparents.
I was able to contact cousins I never knew about via the internet and they gave me much of what I have today because they have done some parts of their family genealogy but some areas seem suspect so unless i can clarify items I try not to post it.
I subscribed to ancestry.com also because even though I live about 40 miles from Chicago and their National Archives Office it takes 1-1 1/2 hours driving one way for a 4 hour window at the archives so I felt as long as ancestry has the census records I'll try it for a year.
Kind of an offbeat question -- what software are yous using to contain your files, and I assume you are scanning your old pics ---what kind of scanner are you using and special software if any.Since I'm a neofite at this computer stuff and all thumbs(you don't know how long it took me to enter this )anything would be helpfull.

TIA Lenny
