Slydeek, this is an old story, I tried to explain to you why Berlusconi dragged Italy into Iraq. There is no support in Italy for the war, but in this country people are too smart to protest because they know it will change nothing. Instead, Berlusconi lost in regional elections and had to go for antother vote of confidence to continue to govern the country.

Next year very probable that a center left government will take over and Italy will withdraw from Iraq. Berlusconi has a year to do what needs to be done and save face, or Prodi will do it for him.
