Well, whew -g- .... the colours right now are something like original SI, or one of its versions, or like my memory of them, or something ... not too much contrast or dark bands to distract from the text message of the post, that's the way

Could the header and all on every page be somehow shortened, so that when the post loads you don't have to scroll to see the topmost few lines, at least? ... in posts now i can't see even the To:xposter line ... the 'total posts' area is taking up space, looks like, and it's not needed, you know the total posts when you submit one, you just look at the url ... room is being left up there for advertising, no doubt, so those who don't see the ads get the space anyway?
