Reality check: Bush has blown it on North Korea. North Korea is gotten dangerous under Bush and is now a bigger threat than Saddam ever was.

Bush should have been engaged since day one but refused to be. The problem with NK is that unless China punishes them, no one else can do anything without possibly triggering a very bloody war. Seoul is not far from North Korea's artillery batteries. We could take NK out, but only by risking 200,000 lives, including many of our own troops.

Back to the present, Bush is finally grudgingly moving back to what Clinton was doing, producing a stalemate and keeping NK's nuclear program frozen in place and inspected. Under Bush, NK kicked the inspectors out so they have grown more dangerous, not less. They also sell their weapons to dangerous countries like Yemen.

Iran has also grown more dangerous under Bush. And our coddling up to Saudi Arabia is alarming as they are perhaps the greatest threat of all. While Bush was kissing their prince, their top judge was calling for Johad against US troops.
