No, except those of my own family. As a surviving son of a veteran, I was able to get a copy of his discharge papers from the VA. They were identical to a paper I found in a safe.

You might be way out ahead of me.

If you have a family with a well developed genealogy, you might find a lot of your work done for you. I wouldn't feel reticent to incorporate data I found in family websites.

Check out cemeteries on the web. I found the cemetery where my great grandfather's family is buried, and there is enough information in that to trace their lineage back to the eighteenth century.
