i just lost like a three page response to your post...
I HATE THIS FRIGGIN NEW SI.....
KKKKRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
i'll try to re-write it...
in summary....
Schumacher is no god... just a superb driver.... but his fiasco with Villeneuve in 1997 (the year Villeneuve won the championship) threw Michael into the gutter of drivers with an incontrollable evil streak....
(not to mention stupid)
Great Drivers.... (i.e. superb racers, unquestionable skill, yet gentlemen on and off the track) * I said Gentlemen, not stupid or fierce competitors....*
Nuvolari, Villoresi, Fangio, Ascari, Hawthorn, Clark, Hill, (both Graham and Phil), Stewart, Fittipaldi, Senna, Peterson, Andretti,
Fernando Alonso... a great driver in the making... he is cool, tremendous skill, he has a great team boss (Flavio Briatore - who was Schumacher early team boss)
watch him... possibly world champion this year...
Renault, technically has matured enormously and it is reported they have been working with Michelin to build a suspension for the tire... (and viceversa)....
it has to do with eliminating the need to run excessive negative camber angles, and therefore eliminating tire friction on a straight line and much better rubber contact while cornering, allowing almost NO chassis movement while cornering, hence little weight transfer, hence more stable around a corner....
anyway....
i will look for the technical article later.... |
