Riechers, there is not to much "ethanol" around as it's production is far from the 15% consumption by the US fleet of motor vehicles consuming gasoline.

The problem lies with the big oil companies and their Washington lobby who feel very comfortable with ever growing gasoline and other hydrocarbon prices.

If this administration would have been serious about US energy policy and trade deficit you would have ethanol powered public transportation and ethanol added to gasoline in every gas station with every passenger car adopted to consume pure gasoline or mixture of gasoline and ethanol.

But such a solution is to ready available and will hurt BIG OIL profits. So why not mess around long term solution like Alaska which is controversial or Methane Hydrate R&D which receives barely a token in funds or tax shelters
