If people cannot legally self-insure, what does that do to the meaning of freedom? If you read what I put up on the Swiss system, you only have to buy the basic. The problem with "self insure" is when the person comes to up to the chalk and can't pay. You can't get blood from a stone, and debtor's prisons don't work. We have many things in this country that are done at the point of a gun. This one will be also. If we don't do something like the Swiss system, we will end up with the Canadian system, which we really won't like. This is a classic case of "false alternatives." We are going to get one or the other whither we want it or not.
