That would depend on the rate of return from the trust fund. No it didn't. Originally it was a cash on cash program. The reason SS would run out of money (if still in cash) is expenditures were repeatedly increased from the original levels when the fund was established, new reasons to payout were established, and collections were not raised to pay for the increased expenditures. the trust fund is real. Yes it is, to dreamers, wishful thinkers, and MSM.
