If we consider human life valuable Mary, then of course we should consider ALL people accountable for their actions.

The poor are accountable. And if they need help, we try to help them.

The mentally ill are accountable. If they do something against their own, or public well-being, we have laws for that, and try to help them.

The criminals are accountable. We have laws to help insure their accountability.

Even children are accountable. If they do something wrong, they are accountable to their parents, or if it is really wrong, they are accountable to society. We have laws for that as well.

If children or adults are uneducated, this society tries to remedy that as well. I've got to admit, some of the products of those 'remedies' need more and better 'remedies'.... BUT even the uneducated are not "unaccountable."

An uneducated person might murder someone. Having an education wouldn't have helped him/her not to commit the murder. Perhaps it was a cultural murder. ETC. But, the person is accountable, and we have laws for that as well.

There are those that think all people should be held accountable.
