Mr. Aloha, OVIS does have a dubious past. Things look better these days but it is certainly not a world class company. Personally, I don't particularly care much about OVIS. What I do care about is Market Makers who rip off the investing public. If it is true that some MMs have large naked shorts then that is equivalent to conterfieiting the stock. I want to invest on a level playing field. I am interested in OVIS and the calvery because they are fighting illegal MM practices that the SEC seems unwilling to fight.

Many have pointed out the poor fundamentals of OVIS. But the fundamentals of OVIS is not what this fight is about. Its about naked shorting by MMs. No one has put any data on the table to dispute the claim that there is a large naked short position on OVIS. Nobody has put any data on the table to dispute that calling in certificates will cause a short squeeze. If these two facts are true, then the fundamentals don't matter whatsoever.

To me its worth going to war with the possiblility of getting hurt to fight for what is fare and just. After all is that what all wars are about.

If this works, all brokerage firms are going to be hurt. People will quit holding stock in street names and start holding certificates. Brokerages are not going to like this. But it is their fault in the first place.
