This is the new camera. A Nikon Coolpix 8800.
I wanted a camera with a good zoom (10x optical) for doing
bird and mammal photography, landscape shots, etc...
I think it will be a good camera for what I
am looking for.

My last camera was the Coolpix 4500 model.

I am still using it for the super macro insect stuff
that I do so much of. I'm not sure if the 8800
is going to cut it for the very close insect work
but that's okay as I'll keep using the older camera
alongside it.
So far, I'm enjoying the CP8800, although it is a
bit larger and I have to worry more about damaging
the glass than on the 4500.
