Well you just don't know at this point. Obviously you stand a much bigger risk eating organs then the meat of the animals but keep in mind, CWD and mad cow have been around quite likely for as long as their have been deer and cows. I can remember shipping some cows off for rendering in the 70's when I was young that in retrospect sure acted like they had mad cow now that I know the symptoms.

There isn't mass dying from humans from our variant so I personally doubt it's being passed and is something to be that concerned about. Not that we shouldn't study but the numbers tell me my age and weight are a bigger concern then beef and venison:)
