Ionesco has stated here that she does not eat factory farmed meat of any kind, which would of course include chickens. You, too, could be an active participant in discouraging factory farming by buying only free range meat. Goodness, you have a grand piano that I bet is bigger than the little cottage I live in. Surely you could afford to buy organic, free range meat! And it would be much healthier for you, because it does not contain pesticides or antibiotics. While you are at it, you could buy free range eggs and organic milk and cheese. These are not entirely cruelty free products, but they certain are the result of much less cruelty than factory farmed meat, eggs and dairy products. And organic, free range products taste better as well.
