Factory farming is more efficient in the short term. I'm not sure it is the best way to go long term. I would rather reduce the need for factory farms by reducing human population.

That is not going to happen because humans are very clever about being at the top of the food chain. God, or nature if you prefer, will take care of it someday. It won't be pretty.
