The rightwing evangelicals are totally full of crap.
I'm on my sixth book about them now, some pro some con, but all insider views, and there are some things that stand out over and over and over again.

They are like the Taliban in the way them condemn any sort of freedom of lifestyle. Even a sip of beer is satanic. Yet they are all hypocrites.

They are completely unrealistic and repressed about human sexuality.

They mis-read the Bible and make outrageously absurd predictions which they hold as truth. if a presdient believed these predictions, it could result in WWIII. So very dangerous nutcases.

They see no separation of church and state at all. They want us all to live by their narrow-minded rules. or else we're evil.

They have no respect for science, psychology, journalism, education, history or the legal process. In other words, they have no respect for facts.

This makes them serial liars and so they naturally support more lies to cover uyp the original lies. Which makes them a big back of repressed and deluded reactionaries.

And this is Bush's base. No wonder his policies and campaigns are so dishonest, partly in order to pander to these deluded flocks who have been led astray by conmen.
