Vidrine, you're missing a HUGE element to ME wars and the neocons. EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS. Get a book called "Salvation for Sale" about the inner workings of Pat Robertson's organization. These are the people pushing for war in the Middle East. Not for any rational reasons, just because they lust for the heinous fantasy of Armageddon, which must be fought in or around Israel. Iraq they consider Babylon which must be brought down before the really big war for Jerusalem. They are like Christian Talibans. And equally dangerous. Plus Bush, Frist and Delay all pander to them continually. They are Bush's fervent base. And they are utterly dishonest and possibly even insane. You are also missing the power of the oil companies who LOVE it that US taxpayers are paying to "liberate" oilfields they can profiteer from. Giving taxpayers back nothing in return, of course. Just more gouging.
