Clearly the Vietnam war was all wrong. The biggest mistake out of the 11 in Fog of War is when McNamara met post war with a leader from N. Vietnam and he explained to McNamara that he didn't know Vietnamese history very well in that the Chinese and Vietnam have been at odds for over a thousand years. But Kerry wasn't against the war in this principle. He was against the war because it was a war against his favored Communist brothers.
