She was quite ill initially, and at one point the vets were talking either very invasive surgery or else putting her down.

Now, she's about 13 (exact age not known, since she was a rescue dog) and is ultra-mellow. I spent the afternoon building a brick walk, and she just hung out with me in the yard. She no longer shows any inclination to bolt when she sees a cat or another dog.
