Not why are you asking? I'm wondering why you chose to jump on this? Was there nothing else available that leant itself to argument? I'm just not interested in arguing with you.

Madam, I'm not arguing. Nor am I looking to pick a fight with you. It was you who chose to react with hostility to a simple inquiry on my part.

You posted "I'm sure some of the cheerleaders or girls in sports have eating disorders." That's a pretty broad statement, and I was wondering whether you had any factual basis for your statement or whether this is an assumption on your part.

In your response, however, you said, "But if you'd like me to say I'm not *sure* that there are some girls on a campus of 2000 students with eating disorders, fine- I'm not *sure*" Sure looks like you're changing the subject. Your original post and my response to that post did not deal with the female student body on a 2,000 student campus. The universe of girls you were talking about was significantly smaller than 1,000 +/- girls.

Also, as a point of reference, I have a teenage daughter who has been involved in sports - she earned a varsity letter in soccer as a Sophomore, and is now a cheerleader. I've never noticed any evidence of eating disorders on her part or on the part of any of her teammates. So, you see, whereas you appear to be making assumptions I have some personal experience with this.

Your post suggests a lot of hostility and anger. I'd have thought your weekend would have put you in a better frame of mind.
