The countries in western Europe, and Japan, which also has a relatively high standard of living, are the countries that consistently have better living conditions for their populations than America does. They are emphatically NOT building fences to keep their people in. The countries that feed immigration to America are desperately poor countries with a lot of oppression and corrupt governments. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights have been pretty selectively applied in America, if you look at our entire, long history. Certainly the countries of western Europe where people enjoy a higher standard of living than we do are countries whose citizens also enjoy due process of law and full civil rights. America is not unique in this.
