<<may be mistaken if you believe that Washington politicians are actually trying to benefit the American public in any of their actions with regard to foreign policy>> ...

I am not mistaken perhaps about whether they are trying or not. I am merely sure that due to their limited knowledge, flawed judgment, amateurish (“bring it on”) approach, and undeveloped logic, they cannot benefit anyone, not even themselves.

Given the election cycles which was set at a time when the world was different, the smart/astute/educated ones (there are those, or with astute staffers) cannot benefit anyone even if they tried.

<<A leading Filipino, Mexican or Indonesian politician acts mainly in the interest of his countrymen>> ...

perhaps more likely just themselves, and perhaps family and friends. But hey, at least one knows exactly where one stands with them.

<<If their globalist counterparts in Europe and elsewhere, with whom they are closely networked, decide that China is becoming a nuisance then they will act accordingly>>

... that had been tried for the past 300 years, and that age is rapidly passing. TeoTwawKi beckons.
