Let me restate that:
"Remember it's you liberals who want to bring the 3rd world out of poverty? Well, this is what it looks like.

And you're STILL complaining."

What? You thought they would pick bananas at 3 cents an hour still?

Equality of wages on a world basis implies equality of costs. And that means you no longer get dirt cheap imports, which inevitably drives US costs up. Which lowers your standard of living on a relative basis at least and maybe for real since they can now get some of what you previously did. And their exports become more competitive with yours, puttung your balance of payments- -all of it- -in jeopardy.

Now which do you want? The US to dominate the the world economy? Or an end to poverty?
