And what may I ask is the basis for that critical remark?

All of the Israelis were killed by terrorist fire. Two were killed at the Olympic Village. At Fuerstenfeldbruck, one helicopter load was killed when a terrorist tossed a grenade inside, the other helicopter load by terrorist machinegun fire, and the blind-folded Israeli on the ground walking back from inspecting the 737, with 2 terrorists, was shot to death by the terrorist closest to him.

The Israelis were bound and blind-folded, the German pilots were ordered to stand in front of their helicopters. Heavily armed terrorists were on the helicopters and walking back from inspecting the 737. They were getting ready to leave. They had already killed 2.

Well-trained German snipers were on the scene.
