I guess this would be one fear an IR person would have, we do open ourselves up, and in this current gold market we become easy targets. Glad to see that you are taking the inevitable criticism with a grain of salt.

I just recently became an officer of Consolidated Eco-Systems, a publically traded company with a thread here on SI. In fact, I used to post on that thread quite frequently as an active shareholder until I actually visited the company and got involved in discussions with the CEO about a potential position at the firm. Since those discussions began almost two weeks ago, and even after the formal announcement of my appointment, I have refrained from posting because I felt it would be inappropriate. Unfortunately, one of our shareholders recently dumped his shares when he incorrectly assumed that I actually posted on the thread under another officer's handle.

Bottom line is, you can never win them all. Good luck in your IR efforts!
