Good grief. Of course it hadn't happened yet, but it was of the same era. That the folks who were offered to deal with Munich had not yet demonstrated their prowess at Entebbe is irrelevant to the fact that the Israeli program was highly regarded during that era.

Since Entebbe didn't happen until 76 and Munich happened in 72...I could not reconcile why Entebbe was relevant in your comments. And it was not of the same era. Munich was a major time milestone for everyone including the Israelis.

You might be interested to know that Israeli Special Forces did not form a hostage rescue unit until 1974, two years after Munich.

In fact, Israeli Special Forces had no counter terrorist unit at all until 1974. A few operators perhaps but no organized, trained, and dedicated unit.

Those are facts ma'am.

Your assumption that they did is untrue...like most of what you have posted on this topic..

As I said, don't trust your memory. It ain't working as good as mine.

PS. The first step in getting out of a hole is to stop digging.
