if the Army cannot recruit how do they expect to fill slots?

It's several years down the pipe. We won't have as big a personnel problem by then. It will be interesting to see how this works out.

The Air Force never had any business pulling close air support from the army. It should have been left with them. If it had, the Army would have lot of A-10 type aircraft, and not all the attack choppers. There really is little need for strategic bombers now. The B-1 and B-2s are setting on the runways, while the B-52s drop JDAMS. This could be done by 767s with bomb racks.

We have over 8000 AF "missileers" setting in concrete bunkers protecting us against a nuke strike by the Russians.
