SCS SOLARS ACQUIRES VIVO SYSTEM SOLARS EXPANDS SUITE OF PRODUCTS WITH E-COMMERCE SOLUTION FOR THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY
SCS Solars Computing Systems, Inc. will acquire all the travel technology, intellectual property, associated contracts and related operational assets for the Vivo system, a leading edge channel management e-commerce solution for dynamically packaging travel product. The terms of the sale involve cash, commissions and royalties.
The browser-based channel management solution provides travel wholesalers, tour operators, hoteliers and retail travel agencies with an on-line e-commerce system that will allow a consumer or a travel agent to dynamically combine different travel items, such as air and hotel, into a single travel plan from a website. Sophisticated logic technology enables content pricing to differ depending on whether the buyer is from a retail, consumer, corporate or wholesale source (channel).
Integrated directly into the Vivo channel management system is a comprehensive automated website builder that includes a reservation engine with product search capability, on-line credit card processing, content management, ticket fulfilment and a promotions marketing system. Clients with no Web presence can have a complete branded website that is completely e-commerce enabled within a matter of days. As soon as content is put in the Vivo system it can be immediately booked, providing a distinct speed to market advantage over the competition needing to integrate to third party web providers.
The Vivo solution is well suited to any tour operator or travel vendor and can be used in conjunction with any other system, including Solar's products TourTek and SpeedRes, to enhance business through e-commerce initiatives.
