gfig, just a pure guess on my part, but I think the Fred Alger Company is puking shares past 2 weeks or so...they bought 1.3 million on/after offering which is a hell of a lot....performance of their funds has sucked this year, they may be paring back positions..I don't know, but I do know someone has a lot to sell for awhile now, it doesn't look as shifty as shorting but more as if someone is selling a large position over time....My hope is that their earnings aren't reported as a 'miss' as there is no way with the restructuring charges pre-ipo first Q they come close to that one analysts numbers...not going to happen.
